Job summary

Illumio is seeking experienced engineers to develop containerized microservices in a Go-based, Kubernetes-driven, distributed system. You will process real-time data and network telemetry across multiple clouds to provide security insights and recommendations.

You will design, implement, and own features end-to-end, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Product Management to deliver robust solutions that scale in a multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent required.
• 4+ years building distributed and scalable software and systems.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team setting.
• Experience with cloud platforms at API/programming level (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Kubernetes-based platform experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop containerized (micro) services for a distributed multi-tenant system processing data and real-time events across multi-cloud environments.
• Design and defend service architecture and deliver robust implementations.
• Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns to grow as engineers.
• Write Go code and work with data pipelines using SQL or similar interfaces; operate on Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Own features and subsystems through full software development lifecycle and deployment.
