Illumio is seeking an experienced software engineer to build containerized microservices in a Go-based, Kubernetes-driven environment. You will work on a distributed multi-tenant system processing data and real-time events across clouds, delivering secure recommendations for customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent degree.
2+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems.
Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP cloud platforms at API/programming level.
Kubernetes-based platform experience or containerized services.
Go and SQL experience; REST API client experience.
Unix/Linux programming environment experience.
Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

Develop containerized microservices for a distributed multi-tenant system processing data and cloud telemetry.
Design, defend, and implement service architecture with rock-solid code.
Mentor junior engineers, new grads, and interns.
Write primarily Go code and work with data pipelines using SQL or similar interfaces.
Operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure and ensure deployment success.
Own features and lifecycle from requirements to production deployment.
Improve code quality through early testing and integration testing.
Collaborate with Product Management to refine requirements.
