Job summary

Verint Systems Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own cloud‑based platform development, mentoring peers, and delivering scalable features. You will work with global engineers to implement CI/CD, tests, and robust architectures that meet business objectives.

You will lead design and deployment considerations, maintain high code quality, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize performance, security, and reliability across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / software engineering (or similar).
• 5 years' experience in design and programming large scale applications through all phases of the software development life cycle, including testing, implementation and auditing.
• Proven track record of delivery of complex features end-to-end.
• 2 years experience mentoring mid to entry level engineers and influencing technical direction within a cross-functional squad.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0/JWT, and microservices patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle) including schema design and query optimization; NoSQL exposure (Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• 3 years experience consuming LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or integrating AI-powered features into production workflows.
• Strong debugging skills of performance/memory leaks/crash/Multi-threaded/Algorithms.
• 3 years experience with source control tools (GIT, SVN or similar).
• 3 years experience with containerized runtime environments: Docker, Kubernetes.
• 3 years experience with compiling and continuous integration tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory or other CI/build tools.
• Excellent teamwork, self-learner and self-managed.
• Strong interpersonal skills, high communication skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication in English; comfortable presenting technical plans to engineering and product stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing evaluation (test) of feature design – proactively identify issues or risk areas with architecture and performance.
• Distill requirements from feature level into implementation level tasks.
• Develop features using best practices and ensure compatibility with product architecture.
• Ensure product qualities such as unit tests, automation, throughput, capacities, security & performance.
• Ensure design and implementation meet stakeholder requirements.
• Ensure feature design is correct for operations, deployment, and sustainability.
• Support departmental and team initiatives.
• Define, document, and communicate coherent feature design with Team Technical Architect and Lead.
• Communicate risks and issues to Team Lead and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership to less experienced team members.
• Take responsibility for technical implementation and delivery of features.
• Identify, monitor and resolve feature-related issues; escalate if needed.
• Review documentation by junior members; guide on documentation onboarding.
• Ensure stakeholders understand feature architecture and evolution paths.
• Maintain relations with assigned partners within Verint support organization.
• Prioritize and resolve technical problems; manage scope including defects.
• Understand development process and suggest improvements.
• Identify areas of technical risk and de-risk options.
• Support addressing technical debt as part of a release.
• Support design process and ensure it complies with product architecture.
• Support planning for estimates, dependencies, risk areas, sequencing tasks.
