Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the BI Team, building a data-driven business intelligence platform that surfaces data from internal Workiva products.

You will design, develop, and test software across backend and frontend using Dart, React, TypeScript, Go, Java, and Kotlin, while mentoring peers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Remote-friendly role based in the US.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience with a Bachelor's or equivalent.
• Strong foundation in CS, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with modern programming languages listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to refine project requirements and align with product vision.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and standards.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Deliver and document technical solutions that meet customer expectations.
• Develop and run comprehensive tests (unit, integration, functional) to ensure quality.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across multiple services and contexts.
• Collaborate with support to triage production issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Engage in product discovery with customers to validate hypotheses and identify opportunities.
• Establish KPIs and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor and coach engineers, communicating clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
