Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, modernization, and integration of enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure. You will work as an individual contributor and technical leader, driving cloud-native microservices and event-driven data pipelines, collaborating with business teams to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in collateral management or financial investment domains is a plus.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot and modern frontend libraries (ReactJS).
• Cloud-native development and deployment on Microsoft Azure (AKS, Databricks).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness, Azure DevOps).
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design, migration, and modernization of enterprise apps to Azure AKS and Databricks.
• Develop full-stack microservices with Java/Spring Boot and ReactJS.
• Build scalable, secure APIs with proper versioning and documentation.
• Decompose monoliths into microservices with domain-driven design.
• Ensure secure service-to-service communication and data protection.
• Establish automated unit/integration/Performance tests and CI/CD pipelines.
