Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team seeks a Senior Software/Platform Engineer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise treasury platforms using .NET, C#, and REST APIs. You will lead cloud-native microservices on Azure AKS, implement Istio, and troubleshoot complex distributed systems in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise software development with .NET, C#, RESTful API development.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and AKS.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Hands-on containerization (Docker) and orchestration with AKS.
• Strong knowledge of Istio service mesh and microservices design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using .NET/C# and REST APIs.
• Hands-on Azure infrastructure experience; implement cloud-native microservices on AKS.
• Build and deploy cloud-native microservices on AKS with containerization.
• Implement Istio service mesh for traffic management and security policies.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems and performance issues across microservices and cloud infrastructure.
