Job summary

State Street is seeking a full-stack, cloud-native engineer to enhance and maintain the Enhanced OTC Module. You will build a modern JavaScript front end and a Java-based backend deployed on Azure, while supporting customer-facing and internal teams with troubleshooting and domain expertise.

You will collaborate with analysts and product managers, contribute to architecture, and mentor junior engineers within an Agile environment. Strong Java, C#, React, and cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within financial services.
• Experience developing enterprise-grade software deployed on major cloud providers (Azure preferred).
• Strong background in Java development within cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular).
• Exposure to OTC derivatives knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to contribute to complex design specifications with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug medium- to large-scale software enhancements within business and technical domains.
• Collaborate with analysts and product managers to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
• Provide architectural input and technical leadership within the team.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software using Java, C#, SQL, React, and related technologies.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive guidance.
• Build and maintain automated tests and contribute to testing frameworks.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and cross-team collaboration.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
