Job summary

State Street is seeking an experienced Cloud Native Platform Engineer to automate and streamline operations, build deployment and monitoring tools, and resolve issues across dev, test, and production environments.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and clients to ensure scalable, secure platform solutions aligned with business goals and emerging tech trends.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or solution architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, or related field.
• Extensive Kubernetes/containers experience with Azure AKS and multi-cloud exposure.
• Hands-on with DevOps tooling like ArgoCD, Terraform, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate enterprise-grade AKS platforms for critical workloads.
• Manage multi-cluster and multi-region AKS deployments with HA/DR strategies.
• Own platform lifecycle including upgrades, patching, node pool management, cluster hardening.
• Define standardized AKS architecture patterns across environments (dev, non-prod, prod).
• Onboard and modernize workloads into cloud-native architectures.
• Implement GitOps deployment models using ArgoCD and CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
• Develop IaC using Terraform for Azure resources and AKS provisioning.
• Maintain observability and reliability using Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry.
