Job summary

Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division seeks an innovative Senior Software Engineer to join technical teams delivering software for USVs/UUVs/AUVs and ROVs. You will architect, implement, integrate, verify, and maintain systems across Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms, contributing across the full lifecycle.

You will help expand our maritime software portfolio, engage in design reviews, and communicate with stakeholders while adhering to Quality System requirements.

Qualifications

• :- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience in advanced software product development, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of similar experience.
• - Programming languages including C/C++, Python
• - Scripting languages including Linux/Unix Shells, Matlab, etc.
• - IDEs including Eclipse, GNU tools, VS Code, Visual Studio, Arduino
• - Version control: SVN, Git
• - Issue tracking via Jira, or similar
• - MS Office including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook
• - Agile development methodologies including Scrum
• - Experience with virtual machines
• - Strong software design methods & practices
• - Engineering aptitude and problem solving
• - Ability to resolve issues across design, development, execution
• - Strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, unit test, document, and maintain software on Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms.
• Apply fundamentals and best practices of software engineering to create innovative solutions.
• Support software modeling, simulation, integration, and test activities as needed.
• Develop and present technical concepts, tradeoffs, analyses, designs, and performance estimates.
• Participate in the full software product lifecycle: development, prototyping, integration, verification, delivery, and support.
• Attend technical reviews and status meetings.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Follow SOPs and Quality System requirements
