Job summary

Saab Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain software for autonomous USVs/UUVs/ROVs on Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, from prototyping to delivery, collaborating with a world-class team in maritime and defense sectors.

The role requires strong C/C++, Python, and embedded software experience, plus a willingness to travel up to 25% and to obtain/hold U.S. DoD SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field with several years of software product development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python and scripting for Linux environments.
• Experience with embedded software and multi-platform development.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, unit test, document, and maintain software across Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms.
• Support software modeling, simulation, integration, and test activities.
• Develop technical concepts, tradeoffs, analyses, designs, and performance estimates.
• Participate in full software lifecycle including delivery and support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in reviews and status meetings.
