Job summary

JPMorganChase Asset Wealth Management seeks a Software Engineer III to join an agile team delivering secure, scalable market-leading technology products. You will own technical delivery end-to-end, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust software solutions.

The role emphasizes full-stack development, integration with REST APIs, and adherence to secure coding, testing, and automation practices within a large corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Experience with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Experience in writing and maintaining unit, functional, and integration tests.
• Experience implementing observability practices (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting).
• Experience building event-driven systems and distributed architectures using Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Executes the build-out of strategic end-to-end platform capabilities for Fund Administration and Transfer Agency businesses.
• Design, develop, and deliver full stack software solutions, applying strong problem-solving skills to break down complex technical challenges.
• Engage directly with stakeholders and product owners to gather requirements, clarify scope, and ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
• Participate in development planning activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, effort estimation, and technical roadmap definition.
• Adopt enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review peers' work to maintain consistency and adherence to standards.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Maintain documentation including designs, architecture decisions, and runbooks.
