Job summary

JPMorganChase Asset Wealth Management is seeking a Software Engineer III to join an agile team and own end-to-end delivery of market-leading software in a secure, scalable environment.

You will design, develop, and deliver full-stack solutions, collaborate with product owners to translate business needs into technical plans, participate in planning, reviews, and testing, and promote engineering excellence through secure coding, automated tests, and observability practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Core Java and full-stack application development, REST APIs.
• Hands-on SDLC experience including design, development, testing, CI/CD, and operational support.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders in agile teams.
• Experience with modern programming languages and database querying.
• Experience writing unit, functional, and integration tests.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerts, and SLO/SLA management.
• Experience building event-driven systems using Kafka.
• Integration of data platforms via APIs and data pipelines.
• Active use of AI-assisted coding tools and applying secure coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Executes the build-out of strategic end-to-end platform capabilities for Fund Administration and Transfer Agency businesses
• Design, develop, and deliver full stack software solutions with strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges
• Engage with stakeholders and product owners to gather requirements, clarify scope, and ensure technical alignment with business objectives
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, effort estimation, and technical roadmap definition
• Adopt enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and outcomes, with peer review and automated testing
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge and promote reuse of effective patterns across the team
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review peers' work for reliability and standards
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability
• Maintain clear documentation including technical designs, architecture decisions, and runbooks
• Participate in communities of practice to drive adoption of modern tooling and patterns
