Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III in Asset Management Fundamental Research Technology. You will join an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

You will build production-grade code, leverage AI-assisted tools, and contribute to architecture across data-heavy systems. The role requires Java, React, TypeScript, Kafka, and AWS experience, with a focus on security, resiliency, and operational stability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands‑on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Proven ability to use enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools and evaluate outputs for correctness, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and debugging with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Produces secure, high‑quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Leverages enterprise‑authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity.
• Applies SDLC tools and automation capabilities to improve value realization.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to create visualizations and reporting for continuous software improvement.
• Identifies hidden data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
