Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of applied software development and design experience.
• Experience with Java and SQL in a large corporate environment.
• Familiarity with microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure production code and maintains algorithms and services that integrate with systems.
• Works independently across multiple applications/technologies, delivering backend and full-stack services in distributed systems.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts ensuring design constraints are met by code.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve delivery outcomes (CI/CD, automated testing, code review).
• Leverages AI coding tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding.
• Uses data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Participates in on-call rotation and drives incident resolution and root-cause remediation.
• Collaborates with stakeholders and team members in agile settings and incorporates feedback.
• Continues skill development across multiple technical areas.
