Job summary

enGen is seeking an experienced software engineer to join an agile team building scalable enterprise applications across digital channels. You will drive architectural decisions, oversee technical execution, and guide the full software development life cycle using modern patterns.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in design/implementation, strong Java/Python/JavaScript skills, and experience with React/Angular/NodeJS or cloud platforms.

Qualifications

5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in building scalable systems.
Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, and at least two of: React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5/CSS, cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
Strong understanding of REST/HTTPS/JSON web services.
Expertise defining system architectures and balancing short-term execution with long-term capabilities.

Responsibilities

Design and write engineering specs; produce code that meets standards and conduct reviews.
Participate in agile scrum ceremonies; assist in sprint planning and execution.
Drive story creation, define acceptance criteria, estimate tasks, and track progress.
Mentor junior engineers and monitor production schedules for issues.
