Job summary

enGen seeks an experienced software engineer to join an agile team building scalable applications across digital channels. You will own architectural decisions and drive execution using modern tech stacks to deliver enterprise-grade software.

The role emphasizes design, code quality, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment with mentoring of junior engineers and participation in all scrum ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• 5 years in at least one modern programming language and experience with two of React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5/CSS, GCP or AWS.
• 5 years of understanding of web services technologies (REST, HTTPS, JSON).
• 5 years with multiple general purpose languages (Java, Python, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, Go).
• 5 years in defining system architectures and trade-offs for short-term and long-term goals.
• 7 years in healthcare tech environments (preferred).
• 5 years translating design mockups into working apps; 5 years writing maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Design and write engineering specifications and code meeting standards; perform code reviews.
• Generate ideas and implement technical solutions ensuring scalability and performance.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies; assist in sprint planning and execution.
• Drive story creation with DoD, acceptance criteria, estimation; manage tasks in RTC or Jira.
• Monitor progress against schedule and report issues to lead developers.
• Mentor other associate and intermediate software engineers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
