Job summary

enGen is seeking an experienced software engineer to join an agile team building scalable applications across digital channels. You will provide architectural input, drive technical execution, and mentor peers using modern patterns and platforms.

Responsibilities span idea generation, business analysis, design, and development, leveraging the latest technologies. A solid background in scalable systems and cloud platforms is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• 5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
• 5 years in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica) and experience with two of: React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
• 5 years of understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON.
• 5 years with one or more general purpose programming languages including Java, Python (Django/Flask), C/C++, C#, JavaScript, or Go.
• 5 years in defining system architectures and exploring trade-offs for short- and long-term capabilities.
• 7 years in healthcare tech ecosystems (preferred).
• 5 years translating designs into working applications.
• 5 years creating fault-tolerant, efficient code.

Responsibilities

• Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
• Write code that adheres to coding standards and perform reviews.
• Generate ideas and implement technical solutions to achieve product features.
• Monitor progress against project plan ensuring scalability and performance.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning.
• Create and update tasks in RTC or Jira and track status.
• Report progress and issues to lead developers regularly.
• Mentor junior and intermediate software engineers.
