Job summary

AbsenceSoft is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our remote-first engineering team. You will design and deliver complex software that powers our HR platform, mentor junior engineers, and shape technical strategy alongside product leadership.

You’ll thrive building scalable, secure systems in a SaaS environment, leading end-to-end solutions and driving engineering excellence across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture and scalability principles.
• Ability to independently lead technical initiatives and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex software components and systems.
• Drive architectural decisions and contribute to technical strategy.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Partner with product management and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve system performance and scalability.
• Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security.
• Other duties as assigned.
