Job summary

Paychex in West Palm Beach is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join an Agile team. You will lead analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and installing portions of new systems and modify existing systems.

You will guide high-level architecture for app features and influence the team with new technologies. The role requires strong coding skills, experience with REST/WCF/SOAP, Node.js, and front-end frameworks, plus Azure cloud exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in computer science, computer engineering or related field; 4+ years experience.
• 2+ years experience with SQL, Oracle or MySQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies - Azure.
• 4+ years of Web Service development.
• Strong front-end framework experience (ASP.Net MVC/WebForms, Angular, React, Ember, Knockout.JS).
• 2+ years of automated unit testing (MS Test).
• Strong understanding of unit testing concepts and frameworks.
• Self-directed with Agile exposure.

Responsibilities

• Code and design new applications based on detailed business/user requirements.
• Lead design and documentation of solutions.
• Provide high-level architecture and analysis.
• Troubleshoot and modify existing code and files; run programs.
• Document new applications and changes.
• Participate in unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Perform code reviews for quality and standards.
• Troubleshoot application and system issues.
• Contribute to team definition of done.
• Research, experiment, and recommend emerging technologies.
