Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Analyst, Software Engineering in Chicago to support and enhance critical applications used by partners and clients. You will investigate production issues, collaborate with business users, and deliver fixes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong Java/Spring expertise, SQL skills, and a customer-focused mindset to troubleshoot complex issues from application to data layers. Hybrid collaboration and hands-on development are expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience supporting and developing enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Strong SQL skills with experience troubleshooting and analyzing relational databases.
• Experience debugging application issues across multiple tiers (app, db, integration).
• Experience in production support, application support, or DevOps-oriented environments.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support for critical business applications, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of production issues.
• Partner with business users and stakeholders to understand issues, gather requirements, and provide ongoing systems guidance.
• Perform root-cause analysis of application, data, and integration issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop, test, and deploy application fixes, enhancements, and minor features using Java and Spring-based technologies.
• Analyze SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to diagnose data-related issues and improve system performance.
• Participate in release validation, user acceptance testing, and production deployments.
• Monitor application health and identify opportunities to improve reliability, stability, supportability.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge sharing materials.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery and support of applications.
• Support project initiatives by contributing to requirements analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation activities.
• Mentor junior team members and share technical expertise.
