Job summary

Givebutter is redefining its public API by owning and shaping our integration surfaces end-to-end, partnering with engineering, product, and external engineers to turn ambiguity into clear, buildable contracts.

You will design and defend API contracts, webhook shapes, and async workflows, participate in on-call rotation for production services, and use AI-native workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) daily to review outputs and influence developer setup and API design for both human and agent consumers.

Responsibilities

• Own and shape our public API and integration surfaces end-to-end, partnering with engineering, product, and external engineers to turn ambiguity into clear, buildable contracts.
• Design and defend API contracts, webhook shapes, and async workflows, and contribute to on-call rotation for production services.
• Use AI-native workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) daily, review agent output, and bring opinions on developer setup and API design for both human and agent consumers.
