Job summary

Givebutter is seeking an experienced design leader to build and scale a world-class product design organization. You will shape the craft, establish AI-driven design approaches, and partner with Product and Engineering to deliver high-impact experiences for fundraisers and donors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong portfolio showing design leadership across multi-surface products and measurable impact.
• Proven ability to develop designers and build team culture intentionally.
• Deep craft sensibility across interaction design, visual design, and design systems.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence executives and junior designers.
• Comfortable in a high-growth, evolving environment and AI-native product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of product designers across product pods, including hiring and career growth.
• Partner with the VP of Design on strategy, org design, and scaling the design function.
• Set craft standards for interactions, visuals, and design systems across the platform.
• Define how design operates with AI tools and AI-driven product experiences.
• Act as strategic design partner to senior Product and Engineering leaders.
• Elevate product strategy with deep user insights from fundraisers and donors.
• Make high-stakes design decisions balancing craft, speed, and business impact.
• Evolve Givebutter's design culture with scalable practices and rituals.
