Job summary

Credibly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement major components of our lending origination, servicing, and reporting system. This role combines hands-on development with mentoring and leadership within a microservices, AWS-based stack using Python, React, DynamoDB and MySQL.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to deliver scalable solutions and leverage generative AI to accelerate delivery and innovation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production Python services with deployment ownership.
• Experience designing REST APIs in a microservices architecture.
• Strong AWS experience with ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3 and monitoring.
• Relational data modeling and DynamoDB patterns.
• Automated testing, CI/CD, and Linux troubleshooting.
• Technical leadership delivering end-to-end features.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement major components of lending origination, servicing, and reporting systems.
• Lead a multi-engineer effort, mentor juniors, and review code.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and stakeholders to drive solutions.
• Vet and optimize databases and services in a cloud-based enterprise platform.
• Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate development and new features.
