Job summary

Range seeks a software engineer who can turn problems into prototype to production. You’ll work on AI-powered wealth management features, shipping high-impact work quickly while upholding quality and security.

You’ll operate across the stack and leverage AI tools to scale engineering efforts. You’ll collaborate with product and design to shape what gets built, while maintaining strong engineering standards and a customer-focused outlook.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python or similar languages.
• Extensive experience designing, building, and operating production systems on AWS or similar cloud platforms (EC2, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch).
• Proven ability to work across the stack — frontend, backend, infrastructure — and balance tradeoffs.
• Track record leading technical projects spanning multiple services or systems.
• Experience defining technical direction for a team, including architecture decisions and engineering standards.
• Proven ability to architect, debug, and ship using AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor) with quality checks.
• Strong communication skills to align engineers and stakeholders around technical approaches.
