Job summary

equipifi, a Scottsdale-based fintech SaaS, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Team. You will help build the operating system powering modern banking and commerce, focusing on high-throughput pipelines and real-time decisioning with core banking integrations.

You’ll own features end-to-end, work with Product on architectural requirements, and ship resilient, production-grade code in an AI-enabled environment. This hybrid role offers growth and impact in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years building and shipping real-world, full-stack software.
• Strong TypeScript in Node.js experience; Golang for backend welcomed.
• Experience designing and scaling microservices in distributed systems.
• Hands-on with AWS, container deployments (ECS), and infrastructure as code.
• Strong testing mindset; write maintainable, tested code.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Temporal a plus).
• Ability to architect solutions, not just implement diagrams.
• Fintech or banking experience with core providers is a plus.
• Strong product instincts, curiosity, and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Scale backend microservices to improve speed, reliability, and data sync with core banking providers.
• Own end-to-end features from design through deployment in AWS.
• Partner with Product to shape requirements and architecture.
• Ship production-ready code via CI/CD and maintainability.
• Leverage AI-native development to move faster without compromising quality.
• Mentor others and contribute to team culture.
