Job summary

Samba is hiring for a Product Engineering role in California. You will own features end to end, from frontend interfaces to backend services and data models, while working with data pipelines and a multi-cloud setup.

The role emphasizes analytical SQL, scalable pipelines, and a strong emphasis on testing and reliability. You’ll contribute to architecture, mentor engineers, and leverage Firebase, Firestore, and cloud services to deliver trusted data-driven products in adtech and measurement

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software with TypeScript/JavaScript across frontend and backend.
• Experience designing backend services and APIs, RESTful design, and token-based auth flows.
• Strong SQL skills with analytical databases like BigQuery; able to optimize queries.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end from UI to data models and infra.
• Write analytical SQL over large datasets (BigQuery) and extend measurement logic.
• Design and operate data pipelines and caching layers between raw data and product.
• Maintain and evolve auth across Firebase, Auth0, and Firestore rules.
• Manage multi-cloud integrations across GCP and AWS.
• Ensure testing, observability, and reliability in production.
• Participate in architecture reviews and mentor junior engineers.
