Job summary

Samba is seeking a Full Stack Engineer in San Francisco to own end-to-end features across AI/backend, the Node service layer, and a React streaming UI. You will design, implement, and optimize streaming state, data contracts, and interactive charts and documents for enterprise customers.

You will collaborate with product, design, and platform engineers, using TypeScript-first tooling, modern SSR frameworks, and cloud deployment practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or related field; 4+ years of full stack/web app development.
• Strong JS/TS with Node.js; solid React experience and web platform understanding.
• Experience with REST, streaming (SSE/WebSockets), and type-safe API contracts.

Responsibilities

• Build across the whole system including AI/backend, service layer, and React UI.
• Extend backend/AI layer and wire model interactions with attention to latency and cost.
• Develop the Node backend-for-frontend, endpoints, and streaming responses.
• Ship a streaming React UI with live token streams, charts, and downloads.
• Ensure quality with tests and observability; participate in code reviews.
