Job summary

Press Ganey is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, and delivery of complex features within our AI-native Hyperlift Stars Platform. This role drives technical direction, architectural guidance, and reliability improvements across data-intensive software systems.

You will mentor teammates, shape backend services and APIs, and ensure maintainable, scalable solutions using Python, Elixir, or Golang, with PostgreSQL and cloud-native tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven ability to architect and deliver scalable systems with minimal oversight.
• Senior Software Engineer level experience including mentoring peers, leading design discussions, and providing technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Designs software architectures for complex features and core platform components.
• Architect scalable data services and pipelines with Product Managers and engineering leadership.
• Develops backend services and APIs in Python, Elixir, or Golang with high code quality.
• Guides the team in using AI effectively while maintaining reliability and trust in system behavior.
• Produces documentation and architectural decision records; ensures production readiness and rollback plans.
