Job summary

CVector in New York City is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Backend & AI Infra to own time-series data systems, AI-enabled analytics, and cloud infrastructure powering our industrial AI platform.

You will lead migrations, design scalable data pipelines, and improve API architectures while collaborating with product, modeling, and frontend engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for real-world energy workflows.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years building/operating production backend systems.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript for backend work.
• Experience with databases, esp. PostgreSQL and time-series stores.

Responsibilities

• Map customer domains into AI system interfaces and prompts.
• Lead migrations and upgrades of time-series data schemas.
• Develop and maintain data connectors and ingestion pipelines.
• Improve API architecture; migrate PostgREST to GraphQL where applicable.
• Improve reliability, observability, and deployment processes.
