Job summary

CVector Energy Corp. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer focused on backend and AI infrastructure in our New York City office, with four days on-site per week.

You will own and evolve the core backend platform, tackle time-series data, AI-assisted analytics, cloud infrastructure, and data ingestion pipelines powering customer-facing apps and internal models. You will work across data and infrastructure layers, exercise strong architectural judgment, and influence platform direction,

Qualifications

• A decade or more of experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Built and maintained multiple generations of distributed systems.
• Tracking the latest developments in agentic system design and ready to grow a leading edge system.

Responsibilities

• Own complex backend systems, drive major technical migrations, and shape platform direction for reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, modeling, and frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end platforms.
• Mentor team members and uphold best practices across AI systems, time-series data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure seamless data ingestion pipelines powering customer-facing applications and internal modeling platforms.
