Job summary

CVector Energy Corp. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on Backend & AI Infra in New York City, with four in-office days per week.

You will own and evolve the core backend platform, time-series data systems, AI-assisted analytics, and cloud infrastructure, collaborating with product, modeling, and frontend teams to drive scalable, reliable systems. Qualifications

• 2+ years experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript for backend development.
• Experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL and time-series or analytical data stores.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems, streaming data, or message brokers.
• Experience designing or supporting AI/ML systems in production is a strong plus.
• Comfort with infrastructure, data pipelines, and evolving system architectures.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration in a high-ownership environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve backend platform and data infrastructure.
• Lead migrations and upgrades of time-series data schemas and storage engines.
• Develop and maintain data connectors for industrial systems.
• Improve API architecture from PostgREST to GraphQL and enhance multi-tenant provisioning.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and developer experience across services.
• Collaborate with product, modeling, and frontend teams to shape platform direction.
• Guide AI/ML integration and support modeling workflows.
