Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the DET Salesforce on Salesforce Technology team.

You will design and deliver enterprise-scale solutions using Agentforce and AI-powered features, directly impacting thousands of internal users and customer experiences. You will lead architecture, coding, and integrations on the Salesforce platform, mentor peers, and drive best practices across geographies in a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Related technical degree required.
• Strong CS fundamentals and proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Apex, Python, Go, or C#/.NET.
• Experience designing APIs and integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, middleware, event-driven).
• Strong front-end fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript; component-based UI.
• Experience with relational data modeling and databases (SQL/SOQL); familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server.
• Track record of writing clean, testable code and building unit/integration/regression tests.
• Experience with Git, IDEs, CI/CD tooling, release management, production monitoring.
• Experience delivering software on public cloud or SaaS platforms (Salesforce, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Sound judgment reviewing AI-generated code for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, DML; Aura/Visualforce familiarity is useful.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of production-ready applications on the Salesforce platform with focus on reliability, security and scale.
• Own complex features through requirements analysis, architecture, development, code review, testing, deployment and support.
• Build reusable components and services to improve employee lifecycle experiences and business processes.
• Design and maintain robust integrations with upstream and downstream systems using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, event-driven and real-time patterns.
• Assess end-to-end impact of new requirements across Salesforce and enterprise data models.
• Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, and cross-functional teams to define scope and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Use AI tools responsibly for code exploration, prototyping, test generation, refactoring, documentation, and troubleshooting; review outputs for correctness and risk.
• Develop comprehensive test suites and integrate quality controls into CI/CD workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, and observability.
• Mentor teams through code reviews, standards, and knowledge sharing across geographies.
• Stay updated on Salesforce releases and Agentforce; suggest improvements to advance the platform responsibly.
