Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the DET Salesforce on Salesforce Technology team. You will design and deliver production-ready applications on the Salesforce platform, drive complex features end-to-end, and mentor teams across geographies.

You will work with Agentforce AI capabilities and modern platform patterns to impact thousands of users and internal stakeholders. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems and complex features.
• Related technical degree required.
• Strong CS fundamentals with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Apex, Python, Go, C# or .NET.
• Experience designing APIs and integrations with REST, SOAP, GraphQL, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong front-end fundamentals with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript; UI component-based development.
• Experience with relational data modeling and SQL (SOQL) in Salesforce or similar.
• Track record writing clean, testable code and building tests (unit/integration).
• Experience with Git-based development, CI/CD tooling, release management, and production monitoring.
• Experience delivering software on public cloud or SaaS platforms (Salesforce, AWS, GCP).
• Ability to review AI-generated code for correctness, performance, security, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of production-ready applications on the Salesforce platform.
• Own complex features through analysis, architecture, development, reviews, testing, deployment, and support.
• Build reusable components and services to improve employee lifecycle experiences and business processes.
• Design and maintain robust integrations using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, event-driven and real-time patterns.
• Assess end-to-end impact of requirements across Salesforce and enterprise data models.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineering leaders, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Use AI development tools responsibly for code exploration, prototyping, and testing; review outputs for risk.
• Develop comprehensive unit, integration, regression, functional, and smoke tests; integrate QA into CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve performance, scalability, and telemetry.
