Job summary

Archipelago Companies is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, AI Enablement to build the AI backbone across brands and subsidiaries, shipping connectors, internal tools, and data workflows. You’ll train teams and ship practical AI solutions while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.

The role is a hybrid, in-office position based in Irvine, CA with four days onsite and one day remote weekly; salary range is $120,000-$160,000 plus annual bonus, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python/TypeScript/Go.
• Experience building integrations and APIs.
• Familiar with AI/LLM tooling and internal tools/connectors.
• Experience with multiple SaaS platforms (Slack, Microsoft 365, Google Drive, Notion, Shopify).
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Train users across departments on AI tools and workflows.
• Design and build the core AI infrastructure, connectors, and internal apps.
• Wire up automated workflows connecting AI to data sources and systems.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations for AI use cases.
• Partner with stakeholders across OluKai, Melin, Roark, and subsidiaries to identify AI opportunities and implement tools.
• Evaluate emerging AI models and platforms for adoption.
• Establish security and data governance for AI tools touching company data.
• Document systems and workflows for maintainability.
