Job summary

Victory Live is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to own the technical execution of Rails and Hanami services. You will lead projects from planning through launch, mentor engineers, and push the AI-native approach across the team.

You will design scalable backends, review code, and drive reliability in our B2B marketplace platform. You will collaborate with product and tech leadership to ship high-impact features, tackle hard migrations, and raise the bar for engineering excellence while thriving

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software with strong Ruby on Rails depth.
• Ability to make sound architectural decisions in Rails or Hanami and explain tradeoffs in writing.
• Strong backend systems, API design, or distributed services in Ruby.
• Mentorship experience and a track record of helping teammates grow.
• Fluent use of AI tooling across design, code, test, debug, review, docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of in-depth initiatives from planning through launch with product and technical leadership.
• Rewrite or migrate Rails or Hanami services when needed and own the technical execution.
• Shape architecture through design discussions, docs, and tradeoff weighing.
