Job summary

Victory Live seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to lead delivery on Python and FastAPI services, guiding initiatives from planning through execution. You’ll write the hardest pieces, shape architecture, and mentor teammates while advancing AI-assisted workflows to ship faster without sacrificing quality.

You'll drive engineering excellence, review PRs across teams, and own on-call reliability in production as part of an AI-native, distributed engineering culture.

Qualifications

5+ years building production software with Python and FastAPI.
Ability to make sound architectural decisions and document tradeoffs.
Deep backend, API design, or distributed services experience.
Mentorship track record and AI tooling fluency.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of major initiatives from planning to launch with product and leadership.
Tackle hard parts such as FastAPI rewrites and data migrations.
Shape architecture through design docs and tradeoff discussions.
Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and improve AI tooling fluency.
Drive process improvements and build AI-native tooling.
Review code across the team and own on-call incident responses.
