Job summary

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Product & Innovation to join the IT Solution Engineering team in Denver. You will contribute across the full stack, turning concepts into production software for internal operations and client-facing initiatives, with strong autonomy and product thinking.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, collaboration with Legal Innovation and Business Analysis, and ownership from architecture through deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Experience in legal or regulated environments with confidentiality requirements is preferred.
• Significant experience delivering production software across the full stack.
• Experience designing modern web applications and software solutions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development platforms such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot.
• Experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating needs into technical solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Legal Innovation and Business Analysis teams to transform concepts into working software.
• Interface with attorneys and business stakeholders to understand challenges and gather requirements.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to prototype, validate, and iterate on applications.
• Own projects end-to-end including architecture, front-end, back-end, testing, deployment, and support.
• Design, build, and maintain applications within Brownstein’s Microsoft and Azure ecosystem.
• Work across the full technology stack and contribute wherever project needs dictate.
• Evaluate business requirements and determine when additional stakeholder engagement is necessary.
• Develop scalable, secure software aligned with firm standards and best practices.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and AI tools.
