Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Product & Innovation to join the IT Solution Engineering team in Denver. You will contribute across the full stack, turning concepts into production software for internal operations and client-facing initiatives, with strong autonomy and product thinking.
The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, collaboration with Legal Innovation and Business Analysis, and ownership from architecture through deployment.
We have an immediate need for a Senior Software Engineer, Product & Innovation to join our IT Solution Engineering team. This role reports to the Director, IT Solution Engineering and will play a key role in building innovative software solutions that support both internal business operations and client‑facing initiatives.
We're a small, full‑stack team that builds custom software for the firm—internal tools, client‑facing platforms, and everything in between. There is no separate “front‑end” or “back‑end” ownership model; every engineer takes responsibility for their work from the earliest stakeholder conversations through deployment and production support.
We thrive on collaboration, autonomy, and innovation, leveraging modern development practices and AI‑assisted engineering tools to rapidly move from concept to production‑ready solutions.
We're looking for a senior engineer who can take a product idea from two very different starting points and run with it.
Sometimes a solution concept will arrive already well‑defined through collaboration with our Legal Innovation and Business Analysis professionals, many of whom are former practicing attorneys who have already translated a business need into a technical concept. Other times, you'll be working directly with attorneys and business stakeholders, helping shape the idea from the ground up.
AI‑assisted development is central to how we work. You'll use modern AI development tools to accelerate the path from concept to prototype, gather stakeholder feedback, and iteratively develop impactful solutions.
This is a highly autonomous role requiring strong technical judgment, product thinking, and the ability to determine how much discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design is needed before development begins.
