Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience (Senior) or 8+ years of experience (Staff) with deep expertise in software engineering disciplines.
• Experience building systems, tools, or practices that were broadly adopted because they improved speed, quality, or safety.
• Curiosity about AI and agentic workflows with practical tool application.
• Strong technical judgment with a bias toward simplicity and adoption.
• Ability to connect technical work to business and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end accountability for a critical stage of Invoca's engineering lifecycle in your domain (reliability, security, data, quality, delivery, deployment, or architecture).
• Define what “great” looks like in your domain and set the bar for others to meet.
• Identify where AI and agentic workflows can meaningfully improve your domain and establish safe, observable ways to bring AI into workflows.
• Build shared practices, tooling, or platforms that teams can adopt to replace one-off approaches.
• Translate technical decisions into business metrics and partner with leadership to prioritize work by measurable impact.
