Candescent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable software across web and mobile stacks. You will implement features, write clean code, and collaborate with product and design teams in an agile environment.

The role emphasizes production-ready delivery, performance tuning, and continuous improvement using modern tooling and AI-driven development practices. You will work on both frontend and backend components within an API-first architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years IT experience with 3+ years delivering apps using React Native.
• Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern web/mobile tech.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS; Redux/Expo; unit testing with Jest.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement features and deliver production-ready code.
• Write technical docs, diagrams, and debugging reports.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with product/design.
• Conduct performance optimizations and monitor metrics.
• Review peers’ code and contribute to architecture decisions.
