Job summary

Mastercard Open Finance Connect team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to shape financial connectivity and consumer experiences. You will build scalable frontend and backend services using React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript, design robust REST APIs, and craft AI-powered capabilities with strong focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical software development experience.
• Extensive experience in software engineering.
• Advanced full‑stack expertise in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript with modern testing practices.
• Deep experience designing scalable backend services and REST APIs with Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, OWASP secure coding practices, data protection, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with microservices, distributed and event‑driven architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and observability.
• Experience using AI coding assistants for code generation and debugging while ensuring security and quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate scalable customer-facing applications and backend services using React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Build secure, reusable REST APIs and integrations used by internal teams and partners.
• Design microservices and event-driven solutions with strong availability and performance.
• Own features end to end from design through production support and improvement.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation without compromising quality.
• Lead architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.
