Job summary

Candescent is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver production-ready features in a fast-paced AI-driven environment. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable software across web and mobile platforms.

Expect hands-on coding in React Native and Spring Boot, with a focus on performance, testing, and documentation. This role supports remote work from the US/ Nebraska region with a strong emphasis on agile practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT with 3+ years building apps using React Native.
• 3+ years of Spring Boot application development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, and REST APIs.
• Experience with Redux, Expo, Jest and mobile app testing.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and tools like Cursor/Claude is a plus.
• Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement features and deliver production-ready code.
• Create technical documentation and system diagrams.
• Work in an AI-driven software life cycle and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and Engineers to translate needs.
• Participate in agile planning, reviews, and demos.
• Write clean, scalable code and conduct peer reviews.
