Zuora, a leader in subscription and AI-driven quote-to-cash platforms, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to architect and scale the Agentic Deal Desk product. You will build resilient Java microservices and the AI harness powering deterministic deal negotiations.

The role emphasizes execution loop design, memory management, and secure tool dispatch. Collaboration across squads and technical leadership are key in this hybrid, Foster City, CA-based team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in modern Java (17+), JVM internals, concurrency models, Spring Boot, and cloud-native distributed architecture.
• Deep experience building the infrastructure surrounding LLMs - agent loops, state-machine tracking, tool calling/dispatch systems, context window management, and structured output parsing.
• Practical experience with LangGraph, CrewAI.

Responsabilités

• Develop and own the core agent harness layer, including execution loop, state persistence, prompts, output validation, and retries.
• Design safe tool-execution runtimes and schema-validated dispatchers for deal operations and pricing adjustments.
• Engineer context management with memory pipelines to prevent context degradation in multi-turn negotiations.
• Build guardrails and feedback sensors to enforce margin rules and compliance.
• Design low-latency, event-driven Core Java microservices to back the harness and integrate with Zuora Billing and CRM.
• Set technical standards and mentor engineers across squads.
