Job summary

Global Payments Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Agentic Commerce to build secure, real-time backend services. You will enable AI agents, merchants, and risk systems to operate together with reliable APIs, tokenization, and authentication.

You will own backend features, contribute to design reviews, and drive production readiness with a focus on security, observability, and fast time-to-first-transaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production services.
• Experience with cloud-based systems on AWS or GCP.
• Interest in AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Strong API design, testing, CI/CD, and production support.
• Ability to collaborate across product, architecture, security, and platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure checkout and payment APIs for AI agents.
• Implement flows for agent context, user intent, delegated authority, risk signals and reporting data.
• Integrate agentic capabilities with global payment platforms and merchant systems.
• Develop merchant-facing APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling.
• Own features end-to-end from design through production readiness.
