Job summary

Worldpay in the United States is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Commerce, to join a greenfield engineering squad building secure, real-time back-end services for AI agents, merchants, and payment platforms.

You’ll design and implement secure checkout APIs, tokenization, fraud signals, and integration points across global payment ecosystems, while owning features from design through deployment and production support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production services and APIs.
• Experience building cloud-based systems (AWS/GCP) with reliability and security.
• Practical interest in AI agents, agentic workflows, and validated actions.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, real-time backend services enabling AI agents, merchants, and risk systems.
• Design and implement merchant-facing APIs and backend features end-to-end.
• Own features from design through testing, deployment, monitoring and iteration.
• Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and production readiness.
• Collaborate across product, architecture, security, fraud, and platform teams.
