Job summary

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience building modern APIs and services.
• Backend experience with frameworks such as Phoenix, Rails, FastAPI, Laravel, or Node.js.
• Security-focused design and regulatory compliance experience is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Architecture and software development: design scalable features from concept to production in an agile environment.
• API and service engineering: build and optimize REST/gRPC services and SQL queries.
• Identity and security: implement OAuth/OIDC, MFA, and secure PII handling.
• Performance and reliability: diagnose bottlenecks, conduct load tests, and improve scalability and availability.
• Monitoring and incident management: establish observability and participate in on-call rotations.
• Systems integration: connect internal services with external providers and legacy platforms.
• Data management: plan migrations and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Technical leadership: propose architectures and present to leadership and partner teams.
• Code quality and mentorship: uphold standards through reviews and technical specs.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with business and tech teams to deliver reliable products.
