Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior software engineer for a remote US-based role. You will architect and develop scalable services, APIs, and authentication systems in an agile environment, driving performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and scalable architecture.
• Experience building APIs using Phoenix, Ruby on Rails, FastAPI, Laravel, or Node.js.
• Solid relational database experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Production systems experience with performance, reliability, and monitoring.
• Experience in authentication, identity, or regulated systems with strong security.
• Cloud-native infrastructure experience with Kubernetes and containerized apps.
• Familiarity with asynchronous processing and event-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deliver scalable software from concept to production.
• Build and optimize REST APIs, gRPC services, and SQL queries.
• Develop secure systems for OAuth 2.0, OIDC, MFA, and PII protection.
• Identify bottlenecks, run load tests, and improve performance and reliability.
• Set up monitoring, alerts, and incident management; participate in on-call rotations.
• Design integrations between internal services, legacy platforms, and external providers.
• Plan data migrations and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Provide technical leadership and present architectural recommendations.
• Promote code quality, testing standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business and tech teams to deliver reliable products.
