Job summary

ServiceTrade is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Accounting Integrations to lead the design and delivery of scalable integration architectures using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js. You will build robust REST APIs and event-driven workflows in AWS, mentor teammates, and ensure high reliability across external accounting feeds.

You will work on high-volume, serverless systems, collaborating with product and finance stakeholders to reduce errors and improve data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js for scalable accounting integrations.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth/token flows and idempotent design.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL and MongoDB; familiar with CI/CD and automated tests.
• Experience with AWS serverless tech (Lambda, SQS, Step Functions).
• Proactive problem-solving focused on performance and reliability.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, testing, and maintenance of scalable accounting integration codebases.
• Diagnose and resolve critical issues; implement preventative measures for accuracy and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software engineering.
• Create and maintain documentation for code and processes to enable collaboration.
• Manage daily workload across multiple priorities.
