Job summary

ServiceTrade is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Accounting Integrations to lead scalable integration architectures using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js. You will design REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven AWS workflows to synchronize data with external accounting platforms, while mentoring engineers and driving reliability across high-volume systems.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js; able to work across modern and legacy codebases.
• Experience designing robust Webhooks, REST APIs, OAuth/token flows, with retries and idempotency.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB/DocumentDB; familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues, mentor engineers, and build scalable integration systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, testing, and maintenance of scalable accounting integrations and related products.
• Diagnose and resolve critical issues; implement preventative measures for accuracy and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software engineering.
• Create comprehensive documentation for code and processes to enable knowledge transfer.
• Manage daily workload across multiple priorities.
