You will partner with product and cross-functional teams to shape technical strategy, drive execution, and improve reliability and performance of core systems. Mentorship and engineering discipline are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with emphasis on system design and architecture.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on building and scaling high-availability financial services and APIs that support critical lending and card-related experiences. You will partner closely with product and cross-functional stakeholders to shape technical strategy, drive execution, and improve the reliability and performance of core systems. The position also involves collaborating on lifecycle and attribution strategy for lending products while mentoring engineers and advancing strong software engineering practices.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $153,000 – $213,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy by leading project planning and execution aligned with business goals
• Lead the design and development of large-scale, high-availability services and robust APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for card loan attribution and lifecycle strategy
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure system health and performance
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions to promote best practices

Qualifications

• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python or Kotlin
